Beard trim & traditional shave in Laval

Beard trim at $22, or the hot towel and facial massage ritual at $28.

★★★★★5 stars on Google 4255 boul. Sainte-Rose Tuesday to Saturday

A beard gets drawn, not just cut. A neckline set too high, a badly traced cheek, a moustache creeping over the lip: that’s the whole difference between a beard that looks maintained and one that looks forgotten.

Two ways to handle it here. The Beard Trim at $22: fifteen minutes to square everything up. Or the hot towel beard and facial massage at $28: thirty minutes, for when you want to walk out relaxed as much as groomed.

In three points

01

Beard Trim, $22: fifteen minutes that change your face.

Shaped with clippers, cheek and neckline traced with a razor, moustache evened out, length made uniform. It’s the service our regulars grab between haircuts, often on a Thursday evening before the weekend. Short, precise, done.

02

Hot towel and facial massage, $28: the full ritual.

The hot towel opens the pores and softens the hair before the razor: that’s what keeps razor burn and irritation away the next day. The facial massage comes after, to close things up and calm the skin. Thirty minutes where your only job is sitting still.

03

The line follows your jaw, not a template.

Dany has been working beards for over 10 years. He sets the neckline two fingers above the Adam’s apple, follows your jaw instead of cutting straight across, and leaves the cheek natural when that’s what suits you. You’ll get an honest opinion on what works on your face.

Your ritual, step by step

  1. We look at your growth. Where the beard is full, where it’s patchy, where the line should land.
  2. The length. Clippers at the agreed guard, across the whole beard, moustache included.
  3. The lines. Razor on the neck, the cheeks, the edges. This is the step that takes the most patience.
  4. The finish. Hot towel and facial massage if you booked the $28 service, then oil or balm to match your skin.

Three questions we get

Trim or hot towel, which one do I book?

Trim if you just want to be sharp and out in fifteen minutes. Hot towel if your skin gets tight, if shaving yourself goes badly, or if you simply want the full barbershop moment. A lot of guys alternate: trim between haircuts, hot towel once a month.

What does a traditional shave mean here?

Hot towel, razor and balm, applied to your beard. In practice, two services on the menu: the Beard Trim at $22 for the lines and the length, and the hot towel beard and facial massage at $28 for the full ritual. In both, the edges and the neckline are finished with a razor, never with clippers alone.

My beard grows patchy and uneven. Is it worth it?

Usually, yes. An uneven beard looks twice as good once the line is set properly and the length is adjusted to compensate for the thin spots. Come by and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth the service or whether you should give it a few more weeks.
